Space is limited so spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

The panel will be held in Rocky 1.

Jhilam Biswas ‘05

Jhilam Biswas is a Dartmouth '05 who is currently doing the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. During her time at Dartmouth, she was in the Rockapellas, enjoyed dancing with the Milan dance troup and started the Dartmouth Coalition for Global Health (DCGH). After college, Jhilam consulted with the Health Care Management Council for one year before going to medical school at UMASS Medical School. She is currently in touch with several friends from Dartmouth and feels a great connection to the school. In terms of her career, Jhilam hopes to continue in academic medicine after residency, possibly consider a fellowship in Women's Mental Health, and work some of the time abroad in a Global Mental Health venue.

Jessica Guthrie ’10

Jessica Guthrie '10 is a corps member with Teach for America Dallas-Fort Worth. She teaches World History and US History at an accelerated high school for students that are between the ages of 18 and 25. Her work includes not only teaching and preparing students to graduate, but also serving as a mentor and role-model for students seeking to put their lives on a successful life trajectory. After her first 5 months teaching she was awarded “Teacher of the Year” by her campus and voted in the top 32 in the entire district for Teacher of the Year. She coached the school’s first Mock Trial team and developed a woman’s support group to empower and educate the young female students. Her current project is the Patton Men’s Fraternity: An African American Male Success Initiative. Developing a program on the pillars of scholarship, community service and manhood she hopes to transform the culture of the black male at her school through responsibility, accountability and mentorship. This summer she will be working as a Corps Member Advisor at the Teach for America Institute in Houston.

Alex Kehl ’07

At Dartmouth, Alex was an active member of the DOC, a Rocky Leadership Fellow, a PE sailing instructor (sophomore summer), and a Presidential Scholar.  He majored in history, with a minor in public policy.

After graduating, Alex worked for three years at Bridgewater Associates, a global macro hedge fund located in Westport, CT.  In his role as an Associate Client Advisor, he worked directly with clients from institutional investors that included private and public pension plans, governments and sovereign wealth funds, and Wall St banks and other financial institutions.

After leaving that job in the spring of 2010 and taking some time off to travel and consider his next career, Alex moved to New York City to work at AccountAbility, a global consulting firm focused on corporate responsibility and sustainable development.  At AccountAbility, Alex works with Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and governments to improve their performance while creating programs that have positive social and environmental impact.

Whenever possible, Alex tries to get outside for a bike ride or a hike and, generally speaking, he'd rather be sailing.  He also loves to travel.

Josh Stern ’04
